Must be able to efficiently use Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.) Will work closely with Creative Director, Event Coordinator, and Sales Team to create various sales pieces. Will get to create various logos, posters, flyers, pamphlets, gift certificates, coupons, letterhead, business cards and advertisements for both print and online, PowerPoint presentations, etc. Possible webpage design.
Your main project will be the design of the GonnaGetWed Bridal Program. This is a 24-40+ page booklet that includes tips and bridal information, as well as dozens of advertisements. Would design the layout of bridal book, as well as many of the advertisements. You will be working with many local business owners on the concept and design of their individual advertisements. This is “Real World” experience crucial to any graphic designer.
Intern will help conceptualize ideas, and work with Creative Director to create advertising/marketing campaigns for trade shows, and various other projects. May do basic design of customer applications for trade shows. Some various paperwork such as making copies of applications for various shows, stuffing envelopes, stamping and mailing may be done.
May help answer incoming calls when needed. Would participate in various industry research for specific products and consumer groups to aid in the designing of materials and advertising campaigns. Some possible data entry. Must be well organized, work efficiently, friendly and outgoing. Hours are flexible around your schedule. This is unpaid, but for the right candidate this could lead into a part or full-time position. Possible payment for special projects may be available but not guaranteed.
