Plan and publish content on multiple Midco Sports Network® social media channels. Build editorial calendars, publishes daily show content, and monitors and posts live game day updates and recaps.
Plan and carry out live game and original programming social content tactics for multiple MidcoSN® social media channels
Partner with producers, on-air talent and marketing staff on idea generation, storytelling opportunities and promotions.
Write sharp, clean content that matches the tone, voice and editorial style guidelines for our brands.
Create and/or edit graphics and video for social publishing.
Assist in writing and publishing MidcoSN content on our sports websites.
Source social content by collaborating with partner schools, community organizations and more.
Stay on top of social platforms, best practices and technologies – sharing creative ideas on how we can leverage them.
Assist with Midco’s other social media platforms as needed, and serve as a backup content planner and publisher.
Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
Adhere to Midco privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, public relations or a related field
Minimum of two years as a social media or communications specialist, or as a journalist.
Excellent command of the English language with very strong writing and copyediting skills – as well as solid working knowledge of the AP style guide required.
Experience with social media platform publishing, deadline management, video and graphics editing software and Microsoft Office.
Background in or familiarity with sports broadcasting a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 30 lbs.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
